according to this, the first season of ugly betty is coming to DVD on may 31st. what a great show - the season finale was one of the best primetime TV episodes I've seen in forever...

a blog for reading, and writing
I finally decided to publish a blog. the title, of course, is inspired by the appearance of cormac mccarthy on the oprah winfrey show on june 5, 2007. the main purpose of this blog will be to write about what I'm currently reading, watching, writing. as someone who pays her house note as a journalist, blogging (well, really, spending more time on the computer) goes against every blood cell in my body, but I've ultimately come to the conclusion that I don't get to write enough about what I read and/or see (books, magazines, cereal boxes, DVD wrappers, the cnn newstrail, other blogs). hopefully this will inspire you (and me) to read - and think about what we read - even more.
